Charango Tuning

In the following there are shown all charango tunings as well as tunings of related instruments such as the charangon, ronroco and walaycho that are provided by the Chord Scale Generator.

Charangon

The Charangon is a larger relative of the charango that is tuned a forth or fifth lower.

Ronroco

The ronroco is (similar to the charangon) a larger relative of the charango. The ronroco is usually tuned a forth or octave lower.
The terms ronroco and charangon are often used interchangeably. However, there seems to be a tendency that the term ronroco is used for the largest variants and the term charangon is used for the mid-sized charango variants.

Walaycho

The Walaycho is a smaller variant of the charango. It is usually tuned a forth or fifth higher.
